Escape Routes
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. I Corinthians 10:13
This scripture has become one of my favorites. It emphasizes that God is faithful to me AND He is not permitting anything to come into my life that I am not able to handle. My challenges need not engulf me because He has provided a “way to escape.” I am learning to look for the “escape route” immediately.
Usually, the escape is prayer for strength, trusting God, exercising patience or love. Sometimes it is simply saying "no." Whatever it may be, it is easily found if I look....
